Code of conduct for parents / spectators:-
 
                  
Parents / Spectators have a great influence on children’s enjoyment and success in football. All children play football because they first and foremost love the game – it’s fun. It is important to remember that however good a child becomes at football, that positive encouragement will contribute to: -
·Children enjoying football.
·A sense of personal achievement.
·Self-esteem.
·Assist to improve the child’s skills and techniques.

Please be aware that a parent’s / spectator’s expectations and attitudes have a significant bearing on a child’s attitude towards: -
·Other players.
·Officials.
·Managers.
·Spectators.


Obligations as parent / spectator.

As a parent / spectator of the club you are expected to behave in an appropriate manor.

Do
·Applaud the opposition as well as you own team.
·Give attention to all of the children involved in football not just the most talented.
·Respect the official’s decisions.
·Respect both our own and opponents facilities.

Don’t
·Coach the children from the pitch side during matches or training.
· Criticise the opponents, their parents, coaches or the officials.
·Shout and scream during matches.
· Criticise your child’s coach to your child or other parents, if you are not happy with the coach you should raise the issue with the coach.


Please be aware that inappropriate behaviour as a parent / spectator could ultimately effect you or your child’s participation within the club.
